I view therapy as a collaborative process guided by curiosity, respect, and care. My practice is rooted in a relational, client-centred, and trauma-informed framework, with attention to how your relationships, family history, culture, and broader systems shape your identity and how you move through the world. Above all, I believe that healing happens in connection. I am committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive care, creating a safe space where you can bring your full, authentic self.
My approach is holistic and individualized, blending reflection with practical tools for everyday life. I hold the belief that many ways of coping such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, avoidance, or hypervigilance often begin as necessary efforts to protect ourselves or stay connected. While these patterns may have once helped, they can eventually feel limiting or out of alignment with the life you want. In therapy, we explore these experiences with compassion, creating the space for greater self-understanding, choice, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
In our sessions, we create a space to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters to you. Together, we process the impact of your life experiences while strengthening your capacity for emotional regulation, clear communication, and the ability to express your needs authentically. My goal is to help you cultivate resilience and a sense of grounding, allowing you to move through the world with greater presence, confidence, and agency.
My professional background spans healthcare settings, university counselling centres, child, youth, and family mental health, community agencies, and private practice. Working across these settings has strengthened my ability to collaborate with people across diverse identities, life stages, and circumstances, and to respond thoughtfully to the complexity of each person’s lived experience.
I hold formal training and certifications in a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
I draw from these modalities flexibly, integrating them in ways that are responsive to each client’s needs, goals, and context.
Ongoing learning, clinical consultation, and reflective practice are central to my work, ensuring care that is ethical, thoughtful, and attuned to each client’s unique experience.
