I view therapy as a space where understanding and change emerge through connection, guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect. I work with teens, young adults, and adults experiencing a range of challenges, and I’m especially passionate about supporting those navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, and attachment-related difficulties, including complex family dynamics and the impact of adverse early experiences.
My approach is relational, client-centred, and trauma-informed. I believe our early and present relationships, family dynamics, culture, and broader social contexts shape how we understand ourselves and engage with others. Together, we explore patterns influencing your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, helping you develop deeper self-awareness, create meaningful change, and move toward more authentic and fulfilling connections with the self and others.
Strategies such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overthinking, avoidance, or hypervigilance often develop as ways to cope, stay safe, or maintain connection. While these responses once served an important role, over time they may begin to feel limiting or misaligned with the life you want. In therapy, we approach these patterns with curiosity and compassion while gently working through difficult experiences and emotions. We may also focus on building emotional awareness, strengthening communication, and supporting your ability to express needs and boundaries.
I strive to create a warm, affirming, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive space where you can show up as your authentic self. My goal is to help you feel more grounded and resilient so you can move through the world with greater presence, confidence, and agency.
My professional background spans healthcare settings, university counselling centres, crisis response, child, youth, and family mental health, community agencies, and private practice. Working across these settings has strengthened my ability to collaborate with people across diverse identities, life stages, and circumstances, and to respond thoughtfully to the complexity of each person’s lived experience.
I hold formal training and certifications in a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
I draw from these modalities flexibly, integrating them in ways that are responsive to each client’s needs, goals, and context.
Ongoing learning, clinical consultation, and reflective practice are central to my work, ensuring care that is ethical, thoughtful, and attuned to each client’s unique experience.
